Florida Computer Company Completes WiFi install on Sanibel Island

Florida Computer Company, Entech Computer Services has installed a next-generation smart antenna Carrier Class Wi-Fi network from "Go Net Systems": www.gonetworks.com to deliver Island Beach Club resort guests reliable, high-speed access to online services.

Island Beach Club now provides guests with wireless Internet access in all units, in every room, and in all common areas. Island Beach Club had previously installed a series of off-the-shelf wireless routers and access points with limited coverage areas. Guests complained the WiFi-coverage was so poor they were frequently disconnected and if they were connected they had limited throughput, causing slow browsing speeds.

Island Beach Club issued a request for a Wi-Fi network and that the system's capabilities meet the owners and guests' demand for high Internet throughput, Voice over IP (VoIP), Wireless Multimedia (WME) applications and video surveillance if needed. The resort also required  reliability and endurance, which only Carrier Class hardware could deliver.

Entech Computer Systems first surveyed the site to ensure the very farthest corners of all buildings and floors would be perfectly covered despite building and area obstructions including trees, elevators and concrete walls. Representatives from Entech decided that Go Net Systems Mobile Broadband Wireless systems fulfilled cost and technical requirements in order to cover all 72 condominium units and common areas.
